Five-Day WRAP Facilitator Training, September 13-17, 2010: Information
The Pennsylvania Peer Support Coalition is pleased to offer the Five-Day WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) Facilitator Training at the low cost of $100. This training was made possible through partnerships with the Pennsylvania Mental Health Consumers’ Association (PMHCA) and the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS), with additional funding provided by sponsors including Community Behavioral Healthcare Network of Pennsylvania (CBHNP), Capital Area Behavioral Health Collaborative (CABHC) and Philhaven / The Dauphin Clubhouse .
This five-day training is the same training developed by the Copeland Center for Wellness and Recovery. The WRAP Facilitator Training prepares individuals to offer presentations on WRAP and facilitate WRAP groups. This is not an introductory class on WRAP. Applicants should already have 18 hours of introductory WRAP training* and should have a WRAP they use in their personal life.
Training Details
This WRAP Facilitator Training will occur September 13-17, 2010 at the DGS Annex Complex (former Harrisburg State Hospital), Administration Building 3rd Floor. 2101 North Cameron Street, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
The trainers will be Gina Calhoun (OMHSAS) and Matthew Groff (PMHCA). Prerequisites for attending include 18 hours of (introductory) WRAP training and use of a personal WRAP in your own life.
The cost is $100.00 (one hundred dollars). All training materials/manuals will be provided. A complimentary lunch will be provided each day. The Peer Support Coalition and PMHCA are not offering any scholarships for this training due to the already low cost. Payment is due upon notification of acceptance into the training.
It is up to you to find a hotel and arrange overnight accommodations, if necessary. The organizers do now have a block of hotel rooms reserved for this training.
There are a limited number of seats available for this training. Applying does not guarantee acceptance. All applicants will be notified whether they were accepted, via phone or email, by August 6, 2010. Individuals who are accepted will also receive a follow-up letter in the mail.
This training is open to individuals statewide. We reserve the right to give some priority in the selection process to PA Peer Support Coalition members. Please note: Anyone who completes a Coalition membership application is affirming they openly self-identify as a person in mental health recovery.

Complete the WRAP Facilitator Training application and return, via fax or mail, to PMHCA by July 28, 2010. All applications must be received by July 28. Late applications cannot be accepted and will not be acknowledged.

*Please note: if you received Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) training through the Institute for Recovery and Community Integration (MHASP), you meet this qualification. The Institute’s CPS training includes the prerequisite WRAP training. Recovery Innovations’ CPS training does not include the prerequisite WRAP training.
